However, it took a while before its first legal wagering offering was launched. Oregon was one of the few states that did not have to tweak their sports betting law following the strikedown of the long-standing federal wagering ban in the spring of 2018. In addition, ROAR Digital will roll out an on-reservation mobile wagering app and later on a statewide online sports betting product, pending regulatory approval. The retail facility is set to open door later this year. Under the terms of the recently penned agreement, ROAR Digital will operate a BetMGM Sportsbook at Spirit Mountain Casino, Oregon’s largest gambling venue. ROAR Digital today announced that it has signed a long-term partnership with Oregon’s Confederate Tribes of Grand Ronde that makes the MGM/GVC joint venture the Tribes’ exclusive sports betting partner. Oregon’s sports betting market will soon welcome another major player as ROAR Digital, the joint venture between casino operator MGM Resorts International and online gambling powerhouse GVC Holdings, has found a local partner to launch its wagering product with.
